Sapphic Story Hour

Sapphic Story Hour is a twice-monthly virtual event for enthusiasts of sapphic books. The series is hosted on Zoom by Vermont author and Queer Connect member Kay Acker. The series meets at 7:00 p.m. Eastern and includes two monthly events:

  • Reader & Writer Roundtable: First Thursday of the month. Join the discussion group as a writer or a reader! Anyone with an in-progress sapphic writing project they would like to read from or receive feedback on is welcome to bring it, and readers are encouraged to join to listen and discuss.
  • Author Readings: Fourth Thursday of the month. Each month, a published guest author will read from their published work, to be followed with audience questions and discussion. Readings have in the past included romance novels, science fiction, poetry, memoir, and historical fiction, all with sapphic themes.

Sapphic Story Hour events are hosted online, and not limited to Vermont residents. All are welcome to join!

For more information or to join the fun, sign up for the private SSH Facebook group, or use the contact form on this page to join the mailing list (one email per month). Before attending, all are encouraged to review the Sapphic Story Hour conduct statement.

Published authors and their agents who wish to read at Sapphic Story Hour are welcome to contact Kay for consideration via the form on this page.
